Instrument Care and Maintenance

Welcome to instrument care and maintenance 101.  It is VERY important that you keep your instrument in good working order to have a successful career in band.  Just like any piece of equipment, if it isn't maintained, it won't run properly.

Find your instrument below, click the link, and it will take you to a YouTube video about care and maintenance of your instrument.

*I highly recommend watching the video twice.  Once without your instrument; second time, with your instrument while practicing the maintenance procedure.  Remember that you can pause and rewind the video at any time if you are unsure of something.

***MOST IMPORTANT***

If you run into a problem while practicing please do not try to fix the instrument yourself.  Please do not allow your parents to fix the problem.  Carefully put the instrument in the case and bring it to me Monday.  Don't try to force any part of the instrument together or apart.
